The Blair Athol Project
• Blair Athol Coal Mine commenced production in 1984 and in FY 2006 produced approximately 10 million tones of steaming coal. Of this, 6.6 million tons was supplied to Japanese electric power companies, including 2.3 million tones that was handled by JCD.
• J.C.D. Australia became a Blair Athol Coal joint venture partner in 1982. The Blair Athol Coal joint venture is comprised of the following companies:

Blair Athol Coal works hard with the local community to preserve local wildlife and rehabilitate the local eco-system disturbed by mining activities, including the Koala Venture undertaken in conjunction with the University of Queensland.
